Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical reviews of incoming requests for physical therapy services in collaboration with the service coordinator, ensuring that all pertinent clinical documentation is reviewed, including diagnoses, evaluations, and treatment plans.
• Assess the medical necessity of services and the appropriateness of each Plan of Care, making informed clinical decisions based on recognized guidelines and protocols.
• Prepare detailed clinical reports documenting your determinations, including recommendations for educational opportunities based on provider trends.
• Engage in peer consultation opportunities, providing guidance to fellow therapists as needed, particularly in cases where treatment plans may not align with established clinical protocols before final approval by the Medical Director.
• Adhere to all personnel policies and standards to maintain a positive and compliant work atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Active Movement Therapy, you'll care for a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, those managing chronic conditions, and patients with unique developmental or psychosocial challenges. You will employ a personalized approach, tailoring your methods to meet the distinct needs of each patient, whether they are children, adults, or seniors.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Proven competency and experience in delivering inpatient care services, particularly in rehabilitation settings.
• Strong background in trigger point therapy techniques, anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience working in outpatient and acute care environments, with a preference for those with pediatric care experience.
• Adeptness in hospital medicine practices is preferred.
• Comfortable in both clinical and hospital settings, showcasing versatility in your practice.
