Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to understand their unique needs and challenges.

• Provide targeted individual and family therapy sessions informed by evidenced-based practices tailored to the needs identified in assessments.
\n
• Complete necessary billing, documentation, and individualized treatment plans efficiently, ensuring compliance with insurance authorization requirements within specified time frames.
\n
• Develop detailed crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans that support patients in achieving stable and sustained functioning.
\n
• Create and implement effective discharge plans tailored to the needs of clients as they transition out of intensive services.
\n
• Adhere strictly to federal and state regulations, as well as NEHS policies and procedures, throughout the therapeutic process.
\n
• Commit to professional development and lifelong learning by participating in training sessions and continuing education opportunities.
\n
• Collaborate with team members by engaging in case consultations and attending regular agency meetings to enhance care quality.
\n
• Fulfill all licensure obligations and mandatory training requirements timely.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a counselor will involve working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, from various backgrounds, each facing unique challenges. Qualifications\n

• Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related discipline that meets licensing requirements.

• Licensure: Valid and active license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
