Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and create comprehensive treatment plans based on individual needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Document all client interactions, tracking progress from initial consultation through to treatment conclusion.

• Monitor and evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and medical professionals, to provide holistic care.

• Engage in regular follow-up sessions with clients and communicate with other caregivers involved in their care.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary and develop risk management strategies to address any potential concerns.

• Educate clients and family members on mental health issues and recovery processes to enhance support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. Your role would involve creating supportive, empathetic relationships with clients of varying ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Understanding the unique cultural contexts they come from is essential for providing tailored interventions that resonate with their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (experience with AVATAR is a plus).
\n
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting.

• Demonstrated understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and a solid grasp of pharmacological treatments that may impact mental health.

• Experience facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions effectively within a telehealth framework.
