Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments that evaluate both mental health and substance use disorders, identifying any co-occurring conditions.

• Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to enhance clients' coping strategies, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention techniques.

• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure an integrated treatment approach.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients in their recovery processes, performing regular substance use monitoring as warranted.

• Educate clients and their families about the complexities of co-occurring disorders, emphasizing the significance of adhering to treatment plans.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment progress, including interventions and referrals while adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals facing the challenges of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This population often includes those who have experienced trauma or significant life transitions, making empathy and patience essential attributes in your therapeutic approach. You will be trained in working with diverse client backgrounds, tailoring your methodologies to resonate with their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure in the state of California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for addressing co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Deep understanding of the intersections between mental health and substance use issues.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in an outpatient or integrated care setting, specifically working with clients who have co-occurring disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
