The Bon Secours Therapy Center is actively seeking a full-time Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Long Beach, California. Bon Secours Therapy Center operates a state-of-the-art sports medicine rehabilitation facility that spans 5,000 square feet, designed to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. Our practice primarily caters to individuals who have private medical insurance, ensuring that our services are accessible to those looking for quality rehabilitation solutions. Our team comprises two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who work collaboratively to deliver outstanding patient-centered care in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.

Work Environment

This role is performed onsite within our rehabilitation facility located in the scenic area of Long Beach, California. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life environment. The facility is equipped with modern equipment and therapeutic tools to facilitate comprehensive rehabilitation services for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to effectively identify patients' goals and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a designated caseload, providing one-on-one care to each patient for an hour per session.
• Implement evidence-based treatment strategies that include manual therapy and exercise protocols to enhance recovery.
• Design and administer individualized fitness and wellness programs that address specific patient needs.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress meticulously to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated patient care and support.
• Motivate and educate patients on self-management techniques to foster independence in their rehabilitation.
• Evaluate and modify treatment approaches based on patient feedback and progress.
• Actively reduce patients' dependency on medications and offer alternative solutions to surgical interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an outpatient orthopedic facility, our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, from athletes requiring rehabilitation to older adults seeking to enhance mobility. This focus allows you to apply varied treatment methodologies tailored to each individual's unique circumstances and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing custom exercise programs.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to manage patient information efficiently.
• Proof of an unblemished professional history without any disciplinary actions against your license.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in creating and implementing comprehensive treatment plans.
• Familiarity with patient motivation techniques and lifestyle coaching will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience.
