Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, taking thorough medical histories and performing physical examinations of pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Manage a variety of outpatient cases, providing education and support to families regarding their children’s health conditions, wellness strategies, and preventive care.
• Document medical encounters and maintain accurate patient records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
• Engage with patients and their families to reassure and educate them on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
• Participate in continuous education programs and training sessions to stay updated with the latest advancements in pediatric care.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service through effective communication and understanding of cultural sensitivities, particularly toward low-income and ethnic minority communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in this role will primarily serve a diverse pediatric population, addressing a range of health concerns from routine check-ups to complex medical conditions. Our practice is especially focused on providing care that is sensitive to the unique needs of children from underrepresented backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to healthcare services.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification and a valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a pediatric setting is required.
• Candidates with a current Nurse Practitioner certification and relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level.
