This position will be based onsite within our Home Care facilities in Reno, providing you with a unique opportunity to engage directly with patients in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including taking initial patient histories and performing detailed physical examinations tailored specifically to women's health.
• Develop, document, and communicate individualized plans of care, ensuring patient preparedness for screenings and medical evaluations.
• Perform daily patient rounds, maintaining constant communication with patients and their families to optimize care.
• Order necessary medications, lab work, and diagnostic tests, ensuring seamless integration of results into care plans.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic test results accurately to inform clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare providers, including physicians and nursing staff, to enhance the quality and continuity of patient care.
• Document discharge summaries and communicate discharge instructions to patients, ensuring they understand their post-care responsibilities.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in women's health to provide the best care practices and interventions.
• Uphold high standards of medical care by tailoring treatment approaches based on each patient's unique health background and lifestyle.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses predominantly on women, catering to a diverse patient demographic encompassing various ages and health backgrounds. You will engage with individuals seeking reproductive health support, prenatal and postnatal care, as well as general wellness and preventive services. Your expertise will contribute directly to improving health outcomes and ensuring women receive the supportive care they deserve at every step of their journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program is required.
• National Board Certification in a relevant specialty area is essential.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of Nevada.
• A collaborative practice agreement with protocols filed with the appropriate state regulatory body is a must.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, ideally in women's health or a closely related field.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation and care coordination efficiently.
• Familiarity with community health resources and referral networks in the Reno area to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
