Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped surgical center, where our team of professionals is dedicated to creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere. Operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, our practice prioritizes work-life balance for our team members while maintaining a dynamic and collegial spirit. Your role will involve hands-on patient care, alongside a team of professionals who share a passion for dermatology and patient advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and compile detailed medical histories of patients, effectively identifying skin conditions that require intervention.
• Assist board-certified dermatologists in diagnosing and forming treatment plans for a variety of skin disorders, leveraging your expertise and collaborative skills.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to suturing, skin biopsies, and excisions, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Educate patients on effective skincare practices and disease prevention strategies, fostering a proactive approach to dermatological health.
• Prescribe necessary medications and manage treatment regimens, monitoring patient responses and modifying plans as needed.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests alongside other diagnostic procedures, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software to track and update patient data efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages and backgrounds, presenting a diverse range of dermatological conditions from acne and eczema to more complex issues such as skin cancers and autoimmune diseases. Your expertise will be essential in providing tailored care approaches that meet the unique needs of each patient, enhancing their overall health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A current and active Physician Assistant Certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a medical setting, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with at least 2 years of experience preferred.
• Willingness to complete a hands-on training program under the supervision of our dermatologist, available Monday through Thursday, from 9 AM to 4 PM.
• Capability to treat medical dermatology patients across all age groups effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Dermatology experience is strongly preferred, showcasing your ability to manage a variety of skin conditions independently.
• Experience in performing minor surgical dermatological procedures is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
