Work Environment

This full-time Physician Assistant role is based onsite in our hospital facility situated in the vibrant community of Sparks, Nevada. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, with a focus on delivering patient-centered care in a supportive and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical examinations to evaluate and diagnose skin disorders and diseases, enabling timely and accurate treatment.
• Order, conduct, and interpret necessary diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
• Design and implement treatment plans including prescriptions and skin care regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer a diverse range of dermatological procedures including excisions, laser surgeries, cryotherapy, biopsies, I&Cs (incision and drainage), and skin cancer surgeries.
• Conduct cosmetic procedures utilizing injectables such as neurotoxins and dermal fillers, enhancing patient satisfaction for aesthetic concerns.
• Provide patient education on treatment options, procedures, and preventative measures to promote long-term skin health.
• Exhibit compassion and maintain effective communication with patients, fostering a supportive and caring clinic environment.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality and data privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, addressing a variety of dermatological conditions from common skin disorders to complex cosmetic requirements. By collaborating closely with our experienced dermatologists, the Physician Assistant contributes to the formulation of personalized treatment plans that focus on improving the quality of life for our patients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in General and Cosmetic Dermatology is essential.
• Strong proficiency and knowledge of dermatological conditions, including extensive experience with skin cancer and various medical procedures.
• Ability to navigate patient concerns professionally, displaying a courteous and compassionate demeanor.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development by actively participating in staff training and team meetings.
• A proven ability to work autonomously while adopting a team-oriented approach in our collaborative practice setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in dermatology is highly preferred; a minimum of one year is recommended to ensure adequate familiarity with the field.
• A current Physician Assistant License is preferred, ensuring compliance with state regulations and practice standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 95,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
