Trusted Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our General Surgery team in Reno, Nevada. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the supervising physician in managing the surgical care of patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Perform daily hospital rounds, ensuring each patient's care plan is meticulously followed and adjusted as necessary.
• Write and manage orders for diagnostic tests and treatments, facilitating the seamless admission and discharge of patients.
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and their families, ensuring they feel informed and prepared.
• Assist in the operating room, which includes acting as the first assist during surgeries and performing minor procedures as needed.
• Participate in emergency department and critical care unit consultations when required.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with institutional policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current board certification as a Physician Assistant, with active state licensure.
• Possession of a valid DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Must obtain Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of advanced practice experience in surgical or hospital medicine.
• Experience in robotic and laparoscopic surgery procedures, particularly as a first assist, is highly valued but not mandatory.
• A demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to the workflow of our practice is essential for success in this position.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive salary packages, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
