Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative evaluations, including patient history assessments and physical examinations to develop individualized care plans.
• Assist in the operating room during surgical procedures, including laparoscopy and robotic surgeries, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform daily rounding for hospitalized patients, writing orders, and facilitating admissions and discharges.
• Provide patient education and instructions for both preoperative and postoperative care, helping to ensure patients fully understand their treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the surgical team in managing clinical tasks and procedures in the clinic and during emergency department consultations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and team members effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on patients undergoing various surgical procedures, spanning from routine to complex cases. Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Active State Licensure as a Physician Assistant in Nevada.
• Current DEA License for the prescribing of medications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must obtain Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of advanced practice experience in surgery or hospital medicine.
• Previous experience as a first assistant in the operating room, specifically with laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

Your compensation is competitive, with a salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, dependent on experience.
