Work Environment

The successful Physician Assistant will work onsite in our modern surgical center, which is well-equipped to handle a broad range of outpatient procedures. Our work environment fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals, allowing for the delivery of coordinated and effective patient care. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, but flexibility is essential, as the role may occasionally require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, especially during emergencies or unexpected upsurges in patient need.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical assessments by taking detailed patient histories and performing complete physical exams, assessing patients' physical, emotional, and social health status.

• Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic illnesses autonomously or in collaboration with supervising physicians, referring urgent cases as necessary.

• Develop individualized treatment plans, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers, and order necessary diagnostic tests, effectively interpreting laboratory findings, including blood counts, EKGs, and imaging studies.

• Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with physician protocols and practice standards while monitoring patient responses.

• Document patient evaluations, medical histories, treatment plans, and follow-up care in compliance with electronic health record protocols, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.

• Educate patients and their families about health maintenance, preventive care, and chronic disease management, empowering them to take an active role in their health.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care and facilitate referrals to appropriate healthcare or social services.

• Maintain strict confidentiality following legal standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an outpatient or surgical setting.

• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant, with certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in a surgical center or a multidisciplinary team setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with community health initiatives and understanding the healthcare needs of underserved populations can significantly enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
