Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to determine client needs.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their specific mental health goals, preferences, and cultural contexts.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to facilitate individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.

• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of care.

• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards, including progress notes and treatment plans.

• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with tools to successfully manage their mental health conditions.

• Engage in regular communication with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers, enhancing holistic care delivery.

• Assess treatment effectiveness through regular outcome evaluations, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to improve client progress.

• Stay current on emerging research and best practices in mental health treatment, integrating new knowledge into clinical work to enhance client outcomes.

• Adhere to all ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information, creating a secure therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Ascension, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele grappling with a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must hold a current and valid professional licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Strong ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
