Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms among your clients.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address the complexities of mood disorders.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring an adaptive and responsive approach to care.

• Provide education and resources to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to facilitate integrated care tailored to the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment as they pertain to mood disorders.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, professional development, and peer supervision to enhance clinical competencies and stay current on best practices.

• Act as an advocate for clients by promoting the destigmatization of mental health issues and ensuring they have access to the services they need.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. The diverse client population you will serve may also include those dealing with learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and other social or emotional disorders. With a commitment to culturally competent care, you will help clients navigate their unique circumstances, ensuring they receive personalized support.

Qualifications\n

• Valid and unrestricted license as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• At least three years of relevant experience in the mental health field, preferably in working with mood disorders and complex cases.

• Strong knowledge of California Law and Professional Ethics as they pertain to mental health practice.
\n
• Must successfully pass a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• Current tuberculosis (TB) test within the last six months.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience addressing learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and emotional disorders in a clinical setting.

• Familiarity with addiction treatment methodologies and working with clients in recovery is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure.
