Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience required License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Telemetry experience required - IV start experience required - Central line care/management experience - High flow nasal cannula experience - Management of dysrhythmias experience - Experience with cardiac drips and heparin protocols Description: This position requires working weekdays and some weekends. Rotating holidays are also part of the schedule. The registered nurse will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. Estimated patient ratios are 1:3. Skills required include IV start and telemetry experience. Previous travel experience is preferred. The unit caters to a wide variety of diagnoses, including renal, hepatology, cardiology, and pulmonology. The unit also specializes in adult cystic fibrosis patients. Special procedures include management of cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin drips. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. This role will involve interaction with rapid response teams and social services. Candidates must complete necessary credentials promptly upon signing a contract. All references must be professional, with at least one from someone in a formal leadership capacity. Candidates must have completed their education from an accredited program.
