This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with your colleagues and clients. You will be operating out of our Detox Center, where you will collaborate with a team of experienced clinicians, psychiatrists, and support staff dedicated to providing the best care possible. Regular meetings and patient staffing sessions will keep you engaged and informed about patient developments and organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of adult clients presenting with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges and diagnoses, employing evidence-based psychotherapy practices tailored to individual needs.

• Collaborate closely with clinic psychiatrists and child psychiatry fellows to develop comprehensive treatment plans and provide integrated care.
\n
• If interested, mentor and teach classes to medical students and supervise residents undergoing psychotherapy training, fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.
\n
• Participate in scheduled clinical meetings, contributing to discussions on patient care and clinical strategy.
\n
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient care including assessments, treatment plans, and therapy progress notes, adhering strictly to departmental policies and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCSW at Shirley Mental Health Services, you will primarily work with adult clients, including those in detoxification and treatment programs. The diverse range of diagnoses and presenting problems means you will have ample opportunities to utilize your clinical skills and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid LCSW license in the state of California is required.

• A minimum of two years of experience working with older adults is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated strong clinical skills, including assessment and diagnostic capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a detox or substance use treatment environment is a plus.

• Previous experience mentoring or teaching others in a clinical setting.
