Animal Care Technician II

$30 - $32 per hour

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Animal Care Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Cambridge, MA, 02139. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

Pay: $30.00-$32.00/hr to start!
1 year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
Monday- Friday, standard day shift, onsite position.
Position will mainly be responsible for following established procedures and SOPs while performing basic in vivo techniques across multiple species and supporting routine and complex in/ex vivo research activities.
Responsibilities also include maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, troubleshooting instrumentation, documenting procedures and observations, and communicating procedural variances.
Position will also be responsible for completing required training, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with safety, GxP, regulatory, material handling, and animal care requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree is required.
Experience within GLP is required.
Experience working with rodents/ mice/ etc. is required.
Experience with animal husbandry is preferred.
