Work Environment

The position is onsite, offering direct home care to patients in the Hoboken area. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of each patient's physical condition, taking into account their medical history and specific recovery goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, pain management, balance, and overall physical function.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment effectiveness using electronic health records systems.
• Engage in clinical teaching by mentoring interns, residents, and other staff in orthopedic physical therapy practices.
• Design and lead in-service training sessions at least once a year to enhance staff knowledge and skillsets.
• Contribute to ongoing clinical research initiatives under the guidance of the management team to further the field of orthopedic therapy.
• Maintain open communication with patients and their families to ensure a supportive rehabilitation experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-surgical patients and those suffering from chronic musculoskeletal issues. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is a minimum requirement.
• An active New Jersey State Physical Therapy license is mandatory to practice legally.
• At least two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required for this position.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
