Work Environment\n

This role allows social workers the flexibility to work remotely while being fully engaged with the educational institution's environment. Although much of the work is done from home, remote communication and interaction will take place with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to coordinate students' mental health needs and services. Such collaboration ensures students receive comprehensive care designed to empower them in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services to students exhibiting symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disturbances both in individual and group therapies.

• Establish trusting and supportive relationships with clients, fostering an environment where they feel comfortable discussing their challenges.

• Conduct thorough assessments using evidence-based methodologies to develop individualized care plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of each student.
\n
• Regularly engage with family members and educational staff to facilitate integrated care, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved in the client's treatment process.

• Monitor progress via evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary, using a strengths-based approach that emphasizes the client's goals and preferences.

• Participate in crisis intervention efforts and respond to urgent situations requiring immediate support, ensuring student safety and well-being.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical activities, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and organizational standards.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance the service delivery provided by Bayfront Healthcare Center.

• Carry an active caseload and manage admission, continued stay, and discharge criteria while maintaining a focus on outcomes and recovery-oriented practices.

• Support the implementation of school-wide mental health programs and initiatives that promote emotional well-being among students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related conditions. By delivering culturally competent care, the LCSW helps empower students to overcome obstacles and develop resilience throughout their educational journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State is required.
\n
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies specific to child and adolescent mental health.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients, families, and educational staff.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and respect various cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
