Work Environment\n

As a remote position, this role offers the flexibility to work from home while collaborating with schools and families across Brookhaven, New York. Full-time hours typically require availability for planned sessions from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours based on client needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify the mental and emotional needs of students, taking into account various influencing factors such as family dynamics and social situations.

• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with students, parents, and educators, tailoring interventions to meet specific academic and emotional goals.

• Provide direct counseling and therapeutic sessions to students and their families, focusing on coping strategies to manage anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.

• Advocate for students within the school system, ensuring access to necessary resources, programs, and support services.

• Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to facilitate a supportive educational atmosphere through careful observation and information-sharing.

• Monitor ongoing progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting interventions and care plans as needed based on client feedback and observed outcomes.

• Educate families about community resources, such as support groups and services, enhancing both engagement and quality of life.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and progress notes accurately to maintain compliance with clinic standards and ethical regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with students facing a range of psychosocial challenges, including anxiety, depression, and emotional behavioral issues. Your advocacy and support will be critical in enabling them to navigate their educational environment effectively, promoting their long-term success and wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• At least two years of experience in a social work setting, ideally within educational or community-focused roles.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
