Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders, including evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop customized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, personal goals, and preferences, incorporating therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, coping strategies, and treatment options to empower them in their healing journey.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective paths toward recovery.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s mental health are addressed.

• Engage in continuous learning to stay current with research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders, integrating new knowledge into practice.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, upholding client confidentiality at all times.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development workshops to enhance personal and organizational growth.

• Advocate for clients, addressing stigma surrounding mental health and supporting their needs within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele may also include individuals who have faced significant life stressors, such as homelessness, domestic violence, or trauma. Qualifications\n

• Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
