Work Environment\n

As part of our child and adolescent psychiatry team, you will work remotely while collaborating with a network of child psychiatrists and mental health professionals. The work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evening shifts as required based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological needs of children and adolescents, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tools.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each young client’s developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to engage caregivers, helping them create a nurturing environment for their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, social workers, and education professionals to ensure coordinated care that supports the holistic well-being of our clients.

• Respond to mental health crises involving children and adolescents, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, community resources, and coping strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consults, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance treatment approaches and stay updated on industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 5-18 years, dealing with a variety of mental health issues. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds and may present with a range of challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. You will play a critical role in guiding them through therapeutic processes to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• A strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with experience applying evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrable skills in providing individual and family therapy specifically for young clients.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate approach focused on the clients’ best interests.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.

Preferred Experience\n
