Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support a visually impaired student as an essential classroom partner in a full-time position supporting academic and daily needs. This contract opportunity spans from August 13, 2026, through August 21, 2027, and provides steady weekday hours—37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Working closely with a single student 1:1, you'll have the chance to make a direct, meaningful impact.

Skills and Experience Sought:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional, especially in schools or with students needing individualized support
• Proven ability to assist students with visual impairments is strongly preferred
• Associate degree or a minimum of 48 semester hours of college coursework (required)
• Patient, dependable, and able to communicate clearly with students, teachers, and staff
• Comfortable following detailed educational plans and adapting as needed throughout the school day

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance for a visually impaired student throughout their school day
• Support academic, physical, and social inclusion through encouragement and adapted strategies
• Help implement accommodations recommended by teachers and support staff
• Assist with classroom activities, materials, and transitions, ensuring the student has full access to learning opportunities
• Monitor and encourage student participation, fostering independence where possible
• Maintain professionalism, discretion, and a nurturing attitude in all interactions
