Job Description and Duties
The Information Technology Specialist II (ITS II) will administer and support Microsoft 365 (M365), SharePoint, Active Directory (AD), Azure, Azure AD, AD Federation Services, Single Sign-On, Azure AD Sync, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Exchange, and security platforms. The ITS II will manage device registration, Intune, Conditional Access, endpoint protection, Windows Defender, remote desktop/virtual private network protocols, mobile device management, PowerShell scripting, PowerBI, Flow, PowerApps, Project Online, SharePoint Hybrid, and information security best practices. The ITS II will provide departmental support for local area network/wide area network environments, including hardware topologies, Microsoft operating systems, administrative tools, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, Domain Name System, and group policy management. The ITS II will design and implement system access controls, perform software upgrades, updates, and patches, and ensure interoperability and efficiency of information technology (IT) products. The ITS II will conduct disaster recovery analysis, planning, implementation, and administration for systems, including backup and recovery strategies; perform vulnerability and risk assessments; analyze business impact; and recommend IT solutions in collaboration with the Network Security Group and Enterprise Administrators Unit. The ITS II will monitor and assess security controls, document changes, conduct security impact analyses, and report system security statuses. The ITS II will manage IT projects, establish priorities, oversee multiple projects, and ensure successful integration and completion of information systems. The ITS II will provide advanced technical consultation, documentation, training, and instructional materials for M365 and SharePoint; and support end-user devices, including provisioning, tracking, security, troubleshooting, and advanced end-user training.

Due to the complexities of the position, evenings, weekends, and extended hours may be required as needed. Some travel may be required.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to appointment. To satisfy the minimum qualification requirement with education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for initial review. The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and 12-point Arial font.
1. Describe your experience administering M365 services (such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Conditional Access, and Azure Active Directory).
2. Provide an example of a complex technical problem you have diagnosed and resolved involving enterprise systems, identity management, device management, or network connectivity.
3. Describe your experience implementing or supporting information security controls, such as vulnerability assessments, access control, incident response, endpoint security, or audit/monitoring activities.
Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Experience with Intune, Conditional Access, endpoint protection, PowerBI, Flow, PowerApps, and Project Online. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
