East Metro Counseling Services is seeking passionate and qualified Mental Health Therapists (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our remote team in Paterson, New Jersey. This full-time role offers the flexibility of working from home while empowering you to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives through evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Work Environment\n

As a part of our telehealth practice, therapists enjoy the convenience of a remote work setting. Our online platform offers the tools necessary for seamless communication and client engagement, allowing therapists to conduct assessments and therapy sessions from the comfort of their homes. While our therapists primarily work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we understand that flexibility is sometimes needed to accommodate client schedules and crises.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine clients' needs and create customized treatment plans tailored to each individual.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to facilitate individual, couples, and family counseling sessions.

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups addressing common mental health concerns, fostering a supportive community among participants.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention as required, empowering clients during mental health emergencies and ensuring their safety.
\n
• Educate clients on mental health disorders, treatment options available to them, and leverage community resources effectively.

• Maintain precise, ethical, and confidential documentation in accordance with legal standards and organizational policies.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continually improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapists typically work with a diverse client base, encompassing children, adolescents, adults, and families from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. This role is integral in addressing the unique challenges and needs of each client, ensuring they receive tailored care that enhances their emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in assessing mental health needs and developing effective, individualized treatment strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver both individual and group therapy to varied populations.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
