In this role, you will work remotely from Paterson, New Jersey, providing essential mental health counseling to individuals grappling with a variety of complex medical and psychiatric conditions.

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing you to provide telehealth services from the comfort of your home while accessing our digital platforms and resources. Our practice schedules are structured around patient needs, primarily during weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to accommodate client availability.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, incorporating factors related to the patient’s medical conditions that may affect their psychological health.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated treatment plans, addressing psychiatric disorders in conjunction with medical issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies tailored to each patient's specific circumstances.

• Actively coordinate with medical professionals to ensure that our clients receive cohesive and effective treatment strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, empowering patients to utilize coping strategies effectively.

• Educate clients on the interplay between mental and physical health, enhancing their self-management skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient demographic includes individuals facing co-occurring mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, alongside complex medical issues, including chronic pain syndromes and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Proficient understanding of the mental health challenges faced by individuals with comorbid medical issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
