Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine appropriate medical diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients, utilizing your expertise in urgent care practices to ensure timely interventions.
• Coordinate with case management teams to facilitate effective discharge planning for patients, addressing any follow-up needs.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives that enhance both cost-effectiveness and overall patient care experiences.
• Accept and manage patient referrals from other healthcare providers, acting as a consulting physician when hospitalization is necessary.
• Ensure proper documentation that satisfies insurance protocols, addressing any claims or appeals as needed to support patient care.
• Participate in consultations for specialty needs, which may include occasional on-call responsibilities as part of the Urgent Care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in this role will primarily serve a diverse outpatient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients in need of urgent care services. You will encounter a variety of medical conditions requiring prompt attention, including minor injuries, illnesses, and urgent follow-up care for chronic conditions. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all patients receive personalized care tailored to their specific health needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Physician Assistant license (PA-C) for the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, necessary for effective patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• A proactive work ethic with a commitment to teamwork within a performance-driven healthcare system.
• Current DEA registration number is required for prescribing medications.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Brooklyn Urgent Care offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $400,000 to $500,000, commensurate with your level of experience and qualifications.
