Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Family Nurse Practitioner will include a variety of essential duties, such as:

• Conducting comprehensive history and physical examinations (H&Ps) for each new admission, ensuring thorough assessments that inform care plans.
• Ordering, prescribing, and managing medications for clients, accurately balancing the needs of patients while contributing to effective treatment outcomes.
• Overseeing care for patients requiring medical stabilization, including facilitating appropriate transfers when necessary to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment options, healthcare practices, and lifestyle modifications aimed at enhancing their overall well-being.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary case reviews and team meetings to discuss patient progress and collective care strategies.

• Active licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or equivalent in Georgia.
• Proficiency in both outpatient and inpatient care settings is highly beneficial, allowing for a diverse approach to patient interaction.
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications; training can be arranged if necessary prior to starting.
