Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and accurately diagnose both acute and chronic medical conditions affecting students.
• Develop tailored treatment plans, including implementing evidence-based interventions and ordering diagnostic tests as necessary.
• Prescribe medications and therapies to treat various health conditions, always prioritizing student safety and wellbeing.
• Provide in-depth education to students and their families regarding disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic disease management.
• Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate an effective and holistic patient care approach.
• Maintain precise and organized medical records, strictly adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery within the school environment.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and legislation in the healthcare field, particularly school health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on the health and wellness of students, working to address a variety of health issues that may arise in a school environment, from routine health assessments to managing chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies. Your expertise will directly impact student attendance, academic performance, and overall health literacy, fostering a healthier school community.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with an active state nursing license.
• Completion of a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably with a focus on pediatrics or adolescent health.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with students, parents, and educators.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to address and resolve complex health issues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a school setting or with the pediatric population is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

• This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000–130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
