Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health conditions, utilizing standardized assessment tools and patient interviews.
• Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans tailored to individual needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.
• Prescribe psychotropic medications, diligently monitoring treatment efficacy, and adjusting dosages to optimize patient outcomes.
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services using a variety of methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment methods, and supportive self-care strategies to enhance understanding and compliance.
• Document patient progress comprehensively, tracking the response to treatment and identifying any areas for adjustment.
• Conduct follow-up appointments to evaluate ongoing treatment effectiveness, discuss progress, and make necessary changes to the care plan.
• Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision to enhance skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients at our Columbus facility range from children and adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, and severe psychiatric conditions. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will address the unique needs of each patient, considering their personal circumstances, culture, and background in your approach to care. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with a current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from a recognized accrediting body.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills in mental health.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
