Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote work setting within our Community Health Clinic framework, allowing our counselors to connect with clients in a comfortable and accessible manner. The workload is designed to support the needs of our clients while fostering a healthy work-life balance. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some scheduling flexibility required to accommodate client appointments and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment strategies.

• Implement therapeutic interventions utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based modalities.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring client privacy and data security.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals, to provide holistic care.

• Engage in regular case consultations and peer review meetings aimed at improving the quality of care and sharing best practices.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to support their journey to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with adult clients who are grappling with a variety of issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• A strong understanding and practical application of evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to tailor interventions for individuals' unique situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a trustworthy and therapeutic relationship with clients.
