This full-time role offers the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere, while primarily serving clients from our outpatient office located in Carmel, New York. Adhere to the 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule from Monday to Friday, facilitating regular interaction and support with colleagues while engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds across various locations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and preferences, utilizing frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques, empowering them in their recovery processes.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously to ensure that treatment plans remain relevant and effective, adjusting strategies as necessary based on individual responses.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for a holistic, integrated care approach.

• Stay current with research and advancements in mood disorders to incorporate the latest evidence-based strategies into your practice.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings to foster collaboration and strategy development among colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will focus primarily on individuals and families navigating relationships, including but not limited to divorce and interpersonal difficulties. You will engage with clients of varying ages and backgrounds, providing them with a safe space to explore their emotions, improve communication, and develop effective coping strategies. These efforts will play a crucial role in supporting their mental health and fostering resilient family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• Must currently hold a valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum requirement is a Master's degree and active LMFT licensure, candidates with additional experience in diverse therapeutic modalities—such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, or narrative therapy—are preferred. Experience in working with clients facing transition-related challenges, such as relationship strife or trauma recovery, will enhance our team’s service delivery.
