Staff AccountantA well-established real estate development and property management company in the Ridgefield, NJ area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for either a recent Accounting graduate with internship experience looking to launch a career in accounting or an experienced Staff Accountant seeking continued growth in a stable and collaborative environment.Following the training period, employees will have the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.ResponsibilitiesAssist with month-end and year-end close activitiesPrepare and post journal entries and account adjustmentsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsPerform bank reconciliations and cash account analysisPrepare and maintain Excel-based schedules and supporting documentationSupport billing, cash receipts, and cash management functionsReview and code transactions accuratelyAssist with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projectsSupport various accounting functions related to a portfolio of real estate assetsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting requiredInternship or entry-level accounting experience will be considered3+ years of accounting experience preferred for higher salary rangesUnderstanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reportingStrong Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsExperience in real estate, property management, or real estate developmentExperience with Yardi software strongly preferredFamiliarity with MRI, Yardi conversions, or property accounting systems is a plusCompensation$60,000 - $65,000 for recent graduates with internship experienceUp to $85,000 - $90,000 for candidates with strong accounting experience and industry backgroundThis is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable organization offering long-term career growth, exposure to property accounting, and a flexible hybrid work environment.For immediate consideration please email your resume: View email address on click.appcast.io offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
