Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments, utilizing standardized tools and techniques to accurately diagnose a range of mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each patient, applying evidence-based practices and engaging patients in their own care.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, continuously assessing their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments while closely monitoring patient responses.
• Offer psychotherapy and counseling services grounded in various therapeutic methodologies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, maximizing treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, monitoring treatment efficacy and patient responses, including medication and therapy outcomes.
• Schedule and conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness, discuss any patient concerns, and revise treatment plans accordingly.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions, contributing to the continuous improvement of patient care and your own professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds and present various mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and other mood disorders. Your role will specifically involve working with individuals in an assisted living setting, where you will provide compassionate care that respects their unique experiences and supports their journey towards recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required, with a valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is essential.
• Strong clinical skills in psychiatric evaluation and treatment planning.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment options, and therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
