Work Environment

This is a full-time position located onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in the vibrant community of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from chronic pain, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and pain level assessments using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with our team to design tailored pain management plans that may encompass medication management, physical therapy referrals, and cutting-edge interventional procedures.
• Patient Education: Empower patients by educating them about their diagnoses, treatment paths, and pain management techniques, promoting greater involvement in their care.
• Procedural Assistance: Participate actively in various procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and procedural success.
• Follow-up Care: Maintain ongoing patient relationships through regular monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant in our pain management clinic, you will primarily work with patients diagnosed with chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome, and post-operative pain. This role requires a deep understanding of pain pathology and how it affects a patient’s overall quality of life, with the goal of restoring functional capabilities and enhancing daily living.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact and empathize with patients and their families.
• A commitment to excellence in patient care and improving patient outcomes through collaborative practices.

Preferred Experience

• Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in pain management or a similar clinical setting, enhancing the ability to manage complex cases.
• Proficiency in the latest pain management techniques and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits
