This remote position allows you to impact individuals and families dealing with a variety of mood disorders from the comfort of your home while also participating actively in our outpatient office setting located in Islip, New York. Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, accommodating a full-time schedule of Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. While the position allows for remote interactions with clients, you will also participate in collaborative team meetings and case consultations to ensure holistic care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing tools such as the DSM-5 for accurate diagnoses.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the needs of individuals and families.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, fostering empowerment and informed decision-making.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated care, addressing the holistic needs of clients.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in clinical consultation, team assessments, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Engage in advocacy for mental health awareness and the needs of marginalized populations, including but not limited to the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse.

Qualifications\n
