Encompass Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in West McLean, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing and administering physical therapy treatments designed to alleviate pain, restore muscle function, and enhance mobility in alignment with individualized care plans.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities through diagnostic assessments, including muscle and joint tests, to determine the appropriate therapeutic approaches.
• Guiding and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the effective implementation of treatment plans while offering mentorship and support during sessions.
• Assessing each patient's home environment to make tailored recommendations aimed at enhancing independence and safety during recovery.
• Preparing detailed clinical documentation, including OASIS evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain accurate patient records and facilitate seamless interdisciplinary communication.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to strategize patient care and share insights on treatment progress and outcomes.
• Engaging and educating patients and families on the use of therapeutic devices while fostering a positive rehabilitation experience.
• Completing functional assessments on-site to continually review and adjust plans of care based on patient needs and progress.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current valid physical therapy licensure in good standing in the State of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with appropriate automobile insurance.
• A creative thinker with the ability to make informed decisions and take responsibility for patient care outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A commitment to clinical excellence, quality care, and ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years' experience in physical therapy is required, we prefer candidates who have comprehensive experience in acute care or home care settings. Familiarity with diverse rehabilitation protocols and the use of assistive devices will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
