Work Environment

This position is situated within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Dulles, Virginia. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to create tailored treatment plans based on individual needs, functional abilities, and recovery goals.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques—including exercise regimens, manual therapy, and modalities—to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Continuously monitor patient progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery pathways.
• Document all treatment activities, patient responses, and therapeutic progress in electronic health records, ensuring accurate and comprehensive reporting.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on effective self-care strategies, assistive devices, and therapeutic exercises to promote independence and health maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and seminars to stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Archway, our client population encompasses a diverse range of individuals, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and age-related mobility issues. Your work will primarily focus on facilitating recovery and enhancing the functional abilities of patients while fostering a supportive and motivating environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health record systems.
• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in physical rehabilitation.
