Human Resource Manager

Position Purpose The Human Resource Manager serves as the strategic people partner in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility. The role oversees all HR functional areas within the facility, including Talent Acquisition, Employee, Training & Development, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Communications, Change Management, Workforce Planning, and Employee Engagement. Essential Job Functions Lead the plant-level Talent Acquisition effort, manage hiring processes for hourly and salaried positions, oversee onboarding and orientation of new hires, and execute long- and short-term talent acquisition strategies. Lead plant-level Talent Management, develop and implement leader assimilation programs, coach and mentor new plant leadership, deliver learning and development programs to prepare employees for additional responsibilities, execute succession plans, and provide day-to-day performance guidance to line management. Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports to support their growth and position them for career advancement within Novolex. Build a values-led high-performing culture, implementing engagement programs and applying change-management expertise to foster a diverse and inclusive environment. Administer HR programs, processes, and solutions, ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Analyze people-based data trends and metrics to drive manufacturing productivity, product quality, employee safety, and retention. Collaborate with plant management to develop and implement people programs, processes, and tools that support production outcomes. Partner with the Centers of Excellence (COEs) to facilitate information exchange and collaborative problem solving. Complete investigations in a timely manner. Ensure the plant payroll is fully compliant with all company policies, and that employees receive accurate and timely paychecks. Qualifications BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or Communications preferred. Minimum of 3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Occasional travel (less than 25% of time). Analytical skills to diagnose HR data trends and link them to plant performance. Strong change-management and project-management skills. Experience driving culture and engagement strategies and initiatives. Talent-management experience, including assessment of talent gaps and development of countermeasures. Familiarity with HR process best practices and experience driving process improvement. Effective communication and relationship building skills at all plant levels. Proven cross-functional collaboration, coaching, and performance-management success. High energy, multitasking, result-oriented leadership with business acumen. Strategic mindset with willingness to engage in tactical plant HR activities. Leadership agility to pivot among compliance, advocacy, counseling, influence, and direction. Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
