Senior Sales Manager

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth across assigned customers while leading, coaching, and developing a team of Senior Account Managers and Account Managers. This role combines direct management of key customer relationships with sales team leadership, strategic account planning, new business development, and commercial execution across regional and national accounts.

The Senior Sales Manager develops and executes customer growth strategies, identifies opportunities to expand business, and ensures alignment between customer needs and commercial objectives. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to advance innovation, strengthen customer partnerships, improve pricing and profitability, and deliver sustainable business growth. Success in this role requires strong commercial leadership, customer relationship management, analytical capabilities, and the ability to hold the sales team accountable for achieving revenue, margin, volume, and pipeline targets.

• Develop and execute strategic sales and account plans to achieve profitable growth across assigned customers.
• Manage key customer relationships, including senior-level engagement, negotiations, business reviews, and long-term partnership development.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Senior Account Managers and Account Managers to grow their customer portfolios and achieve commercial objectives.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability for revenue, margin, volume, pipeline development, and forecast accuracy.
• Identify new business opportunities, expand existing customer relationships, and advance product innovation and portfolio growth.
• Partner with Marketing, Customer Innovation, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to deliver customer solutions and support business growth.
• Lead commercial negotiations and support the development of pricing strategies and customer agreements that deliver sustainable value.
• Conduct regular pipeline reviews, sales forecasts, account planning sessions, and performance discussions to monitor progress and identify opportunities.
• Analyze sales performance, market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and address business risks.
• Resolve escalated customer issues and remove internal barriers that may affect customer satisfaction, business performance, or commercial execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in manufacturing industy
• Demonstrated success in profitable sales growth, strategic account management, business development, and commercial negotiations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop sales professionals while driving accountability and results.
• Strong customer relationship management, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent commercial planning, forecasting, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and translate customer insights into actionable growth strategies.

Working Conditions and Travel

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, combining a home-based office with regular customer visits and business travel. xhyhwjd Travel is expected to account for approximately 30–40% of the work schedule and may include day trips, overnight stays, and air or ground transportation.
