AC Pasadena is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead all sales and marketing operations to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve optimal profitability. This role is accountable for developing and executing strategic commercial initiatives while maximizing total top-line revenue performance. The Director oversees the hotel's sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management—and manages all sales administration activities. Additional responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, advertising, marketing plans, business development, and maintaining strong alignment with company and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual sales and marketing budget, business plans, and promotional strategies to achieve financial and operational goals
• Lead proactive sales efforts including outbound calls, site tours, client entertainment, and relationship development
• Drive market intelligence by monitoring key account production, analyzing competitive trends, and implementing proactive strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies, brand requirements, and established sales performance metrics
• Understand, negotiate, and execute sales contracts to optimize revenue opportunities
• Consistently achieve individual, team, and portfolio revenue expectations
• Maintain strong visibility within the local market, representing the hotel in business and community organizations
• Participate in and/or lead daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operations meetings
• Partner cross-functionally with department leaders to ensure guest satisfaction and support commercial success
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and hold sales team members accountable for performance, development, and results

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience OR
• A 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience OR
• A 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver's license in the applicable state
• Compliance with local and national employment eligibility requirements
• Advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Experience with professional selling skills and hospitality CRM systems
• Ability to travel as required
