Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health needs of patients and develop personalized treatment plans that adhere to best clinical practices.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, tailored to the specific circumstances of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support sessions to foster community engagement and promote understanding of mental health issues among attendees.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists and other therapists, to deliver coordinated and integrated care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s well-being.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, different treatment modalities, and available community resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment processes in accordance with legal standards and best practices.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to refine your skills and improve patient outcomes.

• Stay abreast of current research and advancements in the field of mental health to enhance service delivery and therapeutic efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population includes diverse individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor at Medina Behavioral Health Center, you will work with adults experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and substance abuse problems. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A strong foundation in assessing and treating various mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrable experience providing individual and group therapy to diverse populations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster rapport with patients and collaboration within the care team.

• Commitment to ethical practice, including maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.

• Comfort and proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits\n
