Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and screenings to identify the psychological needs of patients, followed by the formulation of tailored treatment plans.

• Deliver short-term individual counseling sessions focusing on crisis intervention for patients grappling with diverse mental health issues.

• Facilitate engaging therapy groups that address a variety of subjects relevant to personal development, including stress management, coping strategies, and emotional regulation.

Qualifications\n

• An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. However, candidates with a master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline are strongly preferred.

• Proven insight into the particular mental health challenges faced by hospital patients, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic models suitable for a hospital counseling environment.
