Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Welkins Mind Healthcare, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop detailed treatment plans tailored to clients' individual needs and circumstances.

• Consult on the development of pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, positive behavior plans, and applicable pharmaceutical treatment plans, ensuring each aspect aligns with best practices.

• Complete all necessary documentation promptly and in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate and timely records that comply with licensing standards.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools recommended by the clinical team to provide accurate assessments and interventions.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement strategies focused on positive behavior support that lead to clients’ successful outcomes.
\n
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold high standards of care.
\n
• Serve as a key liaison among various service systems, governmental bodies, and community partners, ensuring effective communication and resource allocation.
\n
• Maintain open and effective channels of communication to meet contract obligations and further MHA’s mission within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base encompasses a diverse range of individuals facing unique emotional and psychological challenges. You will work with adults and adolescents dealing with mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders, as well as individuals with developmental disabilities and those recovering from brain injuries. You will have a direct hand in transforming their experiences and guiding them toward healthier, fulfilling lives.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field.

• An active Independent LMHC license, or a willingness to acquire licensure in Florida if currently licensed in another state (we will assist with related expenses).

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of experience in the mental health field is required, we highly value candidates boasting a track record of success in various therapeutic approaches and mental health treatment methodologies. Familiarity with community health settings and collaborative care models will be a distinct advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
