Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct a variety of therapy sessions, including individual, couple, and family therapies, to address emotional and relational challenges during clients' rehabilitation processes.

• Perform thorough assessments to gain insight into clients' relational dynamics and emotional struggles, and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that harmonize mental health and rehabilitation goals.

• Apply family systems theory to facilitate effective communication techniques, conflict resolution, and adaptive coping strategies among clients and their families.

• Coordinate closely with physical and occupational therapists, medical doctors, and other providers to ensure a comprehensive and integrated care approach for clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support when needed, particularly during critical phases of clients' recovery journeys.
\n
• Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential client records, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Educate clients and their families on the emotional aspects of recovery, equipping them with necessary coping strategies and promoting familial support systems.

• Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest research and best practices in marriage and family therapy, especially within rehabilitation contexts.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele comprising individuals from various backgrounds and circumstances, including those recovering from trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. The families of these individuals will also be an integral part of your therapeutic focus, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
