Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing our therapists the flexibility to balance their professional and personal commitments. Our outpatient office structure ensures that you will engage with colleagues and supervisors actively through virtual meetings, enhancing teamwork and cohesion. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend shifts based on client needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, goals, and therapeutic preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to aid client recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care techniques.
\n
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care and comprehensive support.

• Stay current with advancements in mood disorder treatment through research, training, and peer consultation.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, complying with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical practice and address challenges encountered in treatment.

• Serve as an advocate for clients, working to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and supporting their rights and needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on individuals experiencing various mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele includes children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and needs. As a clinician, you will be essential in guiding them through their recovery journey by providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or licensed Psychoanalyst/Psychologist in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based practices, particularly CBT and DBT, with a proven history of successful outcomes.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology, facilitating effective collaboration with psychiatrists and medical teams.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
