Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Empower student success in an urban school setting as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Multiple openings are available across a variety of grade levels and programs, including Cognitive and Emotional Impairment classrooms and Resource Rooms. You will work closely with dedicated school teams to foster growth for students with diverse learning needs.

Highlights of this contract role include:

• Self-contained classrooms serving up to 22 students; Resource Room assignments available
• Openings in Cognitive Impairment (K-12), Emotional Impairment (Middle School), and Learning Disabilities-endorsed environments
• Robust school support, including special education teams, behavior specialists, paraprofessionals, and dedicated mentors
• Full-time, onsite position (35 hours/week) in a vibrant, urban district
• Assignments spanning from August to June (2026-2027 school year); caseloads may vary based on school needs
• Ongoing professional development and mentoring
• Remote interview process for candidate convenience
• Required: Michigan Teacher Certificate with LD, EI, CI, or Early Childhood (ZA) endorsements, and official university transcripts (prior to district consideration)
• Familiarity with MARSE and IDEA federal regulations highly recommended
