Work Environment\n

This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility in how you manage your schedule. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be required based on patient needs. The telehealth environment allows counselors to connect with patients in the comfort of their own settings, enhancing the therapeutic experience and allowing for greater accessibility and convenience.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand patient needs, challenges, and objectives, followed by the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to provide effective treatment to individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that provide patients with a sense of community and equip them with valuable coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, to ensure coordinated, holistic care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s mental health.

• Provide crisis intervention services to patients experiencing acute mental health issues, ensuring immediate support and appropriate follow-up.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment methodologies, and available community resources that can aid in their recovery process.

• Document all patient interactions and treatment histories accurately and in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, weekly team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.

• Stay current with the latest research, treatment modalities, and advancements in mental health therapy to deliver the best possible care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a counselor at Let’s Talk Counseling, you will serve a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults. Our patients come from various backgrounds and present with a wide range of mental health conditions, enabling our team to use a variety of methods to tailor interventions that resonate with each unique individual's needs. The practice prioritizes a patient-centric approach, emphasizing empathy and the importance of building trust in the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York is mandatory.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders as well as evidence-based treatment approaches and modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and crafting actionable treatment plans.

• Proven track record of delivering psychotherapy to individuals and groups from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills paired with a respectful demeanor towards patients and colleagues alike.

• Sound judgment, professionalism, and strict adherence to ethical guidelines.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant software applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
