Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the symptoms of mood disorders, including observing clients' emotional states and analyzing behavioral patterns.

• Work closely with clients to design and implement tailored treatment plans that resonate with their individual circumstances, preferences, and aspirations.

• Utilize established therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address various mood disorders effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, exploring treatment options, coping mechanisms, and self-care strategies.

• Monitor clients’ progress, offering ongoing adjustments to treatment plans to accommodate their evolving needs and fostering a trust-based relationship.

• Collaboratively consult with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure an integrated approach toward client care and treatment.

• Stay informed on the latest research findings in the mental health field to enhance therapeutic frameworks and interventions.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, using these opportunities to refine skills and contribute to best practices in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Act as an advocate for your clients, promoting awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role involves working with a rich tapestry of individuals, including those experiencing major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and other mood-related challenges. Our patient population reflects the community we serve, comprising diverse backgrounds, age groups, and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of New York is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with medical professionals in treatment planning.

• A proven history of achieving positive therapeutic outcomes with clients experiencing mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically and effectively with clients from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

• Experience working with telehealth services and utilizing virtual platforms for therapy sessions.

• Prior experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
