Job Title: Adjunct Instructor – School of Criminal Justice. Posting Start Date: 5/4/26. Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Classes may be day or evening. Rank and compensation are based on experience and academic credentials. Adjunct appointments are renewed based on departmental need and teaching performance. Job Overview On a part‑time limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a diverse set of students. The School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati is looking for Adjunct Instructors to teach classes in the Criminal Justice program. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity. Essential Functions Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate‑level and/or graduate‑level courses in the School of Criminal Justice program. Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities. Review and respond in a timely manner to all University‑related communications. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Academic degree in an appropriate discipline and prior teaching experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with the subject. Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds. Required Education Candidates must have earned a Master’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice or a related field.
